How is it so hot?

This is Edinburgh, not Madrid!

Buildings here were made to hold heat and do it well.

My flat feels like an oven.

I have the curtains drawn all day and the windows open all night.

I still spend my time in my flat lying in front of the fan.

I feel like my brain is melting.

It’s slightly cooler outside, but only slightly.

I want to be one of the people on the Meadows who can lie out enjoying the sun.

But I have lost all ability to withstand the heat.

How can they lay out in the sun like that?

Do they like cooking themselves?

I want it to be autumn already.

I sometimes look at the temperature in other places and see how much worse it is there.

Is it possible to get second-hand heat stroke?
