CookingBomb Made Me Do it

So I saw a funny video where this awesome lady bragged about her pickle brine being sixteen years old. Naturally I fell down a youtube rabbit hole researching all about these teenaged pickles.


And then I watched other videos.


And then, I watched videos from other creators.


And then I bought Cooking Bombs cookbook.


And a fermenting kit.


And now I am attempting to make Szechuan pickles.


Not my fault.


Cooking Bomb made me do it.


I am trying as much as possible to build the flavours of my pickles to a level that usually takes years as quickly as possible. So to start, I am buying loads of veg that CookingBomb said taste amazing pickled. I am cooking lots of recipes with veg so that I can add part of the veg that I am buying to the pickle jar to build flavour.


From what I understand, it will be weeks for the pickle brine to become the biome that I need it to be to pickle, so my first few pickles might not be crunchy or taste as good as my later pickles will. This will hopefully be a years-long process.


But if things go wrong, at least I know that it wasn’t my fault.
