Gearing up for Fringe

The Fringe is only days away!

One of my favourite things about the Fringe is the fashion. Everyone gets to wear clothes that are a true expression of themselves. There is no need to be appropriate for any particular dress code, and there is no judgment. This leads to some of the most fun fashion I’ve ever seen.

I’ve always wanted to participate.

Last year’s Fringe was crazy cool. I had made clothes to wear for the Fringe last year, almost all of which were far too lightweight for me to be able to wear any of them. This year I have finished even more and am so excited to actually get to wear them.

So this year, I am making a point of finishing some additional projects I had started so that I can wear clothes that are unique to me throughout the Fringe.

As usual, I have vastly underestimated the amount of time these projects will take. However, I am still on track to finish up a couple which will mean even more fun clothes for me to wear throughout the Fringe.

I guess I’ll just keep making more each year until my whole wardrobe is more of an expression of who I am.

I don’t know why as a freelance artist, I have been wearing such conservative clothes. It’s not like I have an office to work in. Maybe one day I’ll be able to dress like it’s Fringe all year long.
