Meghan Visits

One of my dearest friends FINALLY came to visit me.

Almost five years, and this is her first time in Scotland.

It wasn’t entirely her fault.

There was that silly matter of the globe shutting down due to a pandemic.

But she finally came!

Two whole weeks and I think we got through maybe a third of the things that she wanted to do here.

In my defence, she did have a list that was at least three months long - and that is only the things she wanted to do in Edinburgh proper. She also wanted to do many things out in other parts of Scotland.

But I’m still pleased with what we managed to do and the amount of Edinburgh we were able to cover.

I’ve taken Meghan to some of my favourite spots, but we’ve also gone to lots of touristy places too. It’s been fun to see some of the areas and sights that I’ve been wanting to see and to see places I’ve already been through fresh eyes.

Edinburgh is completely full of things to do. You can spend years here and have barely scratched the surface (source: I’ve lived here for years).

It’s been so amazing to see my friends again. I am so fortunate that two of them have taken the time and expense to come all the way from America to see me.
