Nano Week Three

I’ve managed to catch up with my word count after falling a bit behind last week.
Fortunately, I managed to get out of one of the stickier parts of my outline and through the perfunctory part of the story and back into the parts that are more solid in my mind and, therefore, easier to write.
However, I did struggle with focus issues and actually forced myself to sit down and write. Once I was writing, it was easy to get my words in, but actually forcing myself to sprint was a lot harder than it usually is.
It didn’t help that I had set up all sorts of wonderful crafts to do when I finished my word count. I kept convincing myself that I would write a bit after I crafted, which led to me starting my writing later in the day. It’s gotten to a place where I have to enter my word count at 11:45 so I don’t forget and lose my daily check-in badge.
So I’m going to try to shift back to writing around 2 or 3 pm and then spending my evenings crafting away after I get my words in.
