Prepping for Preptober

I have decided to attempt NaNoWriMo again this year. But this year, I am going to do a full Preptober to set myself up for success.
I’ve found some resources of things to try to help set me up for success in November. Things like setting up a journal to track my stats and see where I am struggling and where I am crushing it. When paired with trying different Pomodoro lengths to see where my sweet spot is.
Most writing videos include the author talking about their ideal length, where they can knock out their word count without getting bored or hitting a wall.
I’ve also found some extra videos to watch in October about different writing routines. My goal for the month is to do all the prep for Nano and find one that works for me.
Maybe it’s a little over the top to be researching and planning how I am going to plan and prep, but I really want this year to go well. Now that I am no longer doing my masters, I haven’t been doing nearly as much work on my personal projects. I want to take the time to rededicate myself to my projects and try to make a go of living off my personal writing.
