Signing up for a Writing Course

This last week I signed up for a course to help me finally succeed with NaNoWriMo this year.

It’s the course “Write 50k in 30 Days” by the Author Kristen Martin.

I was thinking about signing up for it last year when the course was announced. I have followed Kristen’s YouTube channel for years, and a course surrounding how to set yourself up for NaNoWriMo sounded amazing. But at the time, the price point was a little steep for me.

But this year, I was thinking of biting the bullet to hold myself accountable and actually finish my novel.

I was talking to my mother about it and she very sweetly offered to buy the course for me.

So now I am signed up.

I’ll be reviewing the course when it’s finished. I’m hoping it will be worth the money.

I’ve printed out the course materials and reviewed what is coming up in Preptober. It’s added a few supplies to my purchase list. (I didn’t have any binders to use for a book project binder, and setting one up is part of the course).

I’m excited for it, though.

I feel like Nano is practically started already.

I’m having to force myself not to work ahead.

I want to set a pace that is maintainable.

The struggle not to hyper-focus and burn myself out is real.
