Spring Felt Wreath Plan

Over the last year and a half, I have been working on felt projects that could be used to decorate my house for each season. My plan was always to have a nice base and some seasonal options that I could add one or two things to each year. Flowers, in particular, take ages to make, and you need a surprising amount of them to fill in a 16” hoop. I started some last year, even putting a few together, but not nearly enough for a whole wreath’s worth, let alone enough for my entryway decor.
So, my plan for the next few weeks is to try to make some spring flowers with the goal of having enough for a basic version of the wreath this year and enough prepped so I can have a fuller wreath next year. Thankfully, I have a bit of a head start because last year, I cut out some small yellow flowers and some ferns for a spring wreath I didn’t end up putting together due to not being able to finish enough in time.
So, the breakdown for this year. -
Finish some fern fronds.
Cut and assemble hydrangeas.
Cut and assemble marigolds.
Cut and assemble Calla Lillies.
Cut and assemble additional pathos leaves.
Embroider green sweet potato leaves.
Pray that I can get them done before the first day of spring and that this is enough for it not to look incomplete.
Last year, I managed to finish enough felt projects to have them done for Autumn and Winter. This year, I’ve managed to put together something for the Lunar New Year (though I will be working to make next year’s better) and am planning on having something.

So cool! I’m going to see if Pegasus has felt and give this a try!
