When Will it Come?

The first day of spring is next Sunday, but if you were to go by the weather outside, it still feels like it’s two months away.

It is cold and grey outside.

The green flowers that are early indicators of spring are still safely tucked in the warmth of the earth.

The daylight is still far too fleeting to be spring.

If it was just a little warmer.

If it was just a little less grey.

If there was just the smallest bit more sunlight.

It might feel like the interminable Scottish winter was coming to an end.

Spring is just a week away.

And it feels like an eternity.
